HPR Has a Brand-New Apple/iOS App

Screenshot of HPR's New Apple/iOS AppWith a layout and user interface that completely mirrors our recently-released Android app, HPR now has a brand-new app for Apple/iOS. Also designed and donated by a dedicated listener, Shawn, in Alabama, USA, this app adds new features and allows us to add HPR3: Heartland Christmas during the holidays.
This new app is available on the Apple App Store right now! It will work on iPhone, iPad, and Macs with Apple Silicon (M-series chips). If you already have the HPR app installed, simply update it. If you no longer have (or never had) the HPR app installed, you can easily install it now on your Apple/iOS device via the App Store.

Fixed:

*This app now allows us to add HPR3: Heartland Christmas during the holidays.

New:

*You can now easily enjoy listening to Ken Hippler’s “Good ‘N Country” on demand right in the app!!! It’s no secret: Ken’s show is an absolute treasure for true fans of the vintage sound of Classic Country music, including newer music that preserves the traditional sound. You can now enjoy over 6 years of archives of “Good ‘N Country” right in the palm of your hand. The new app allows you to scrub through any episode you wish, pause, resume, etc.

*This version adds album art to the “now playing” data for better visualization of the music being played.

Coming Soon: Apple CarPlay

Shawn is working on integrating Apple CarPlay into this new HPR Apple/iOS app. After adequate testing, this feature will become available via an app update.

Heartland Public Radio would like to take a moment to thank Shawn in Alabama for his dedication, which prompted him to take action and create and develop this new Apple/iOS app (and our recently-released new Android App)! After fielding dozens of complaints from longtime listeners who admittedly have never donated a dime to support our broadcasts, this is a much-needed boost of encouragement for all of us here at HPR! Thank you so much, Shawn!!! Folks: This. Is. How. Public. Radio. Works.
